Hello Spring Valley Community!
On behalf of the Spring Valley PTA Executive Board, welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! As always, we will continue to ensure that our children and teachers have needed school supplies, computers, and other learning resources, all while in a safe environment. This year we plan to strengthen our Spring Valley community by bringing back in-person PTA meetings, as well as continuing to fund the popular Field Trips and Arts & Enrichment programs!
Unfortunately, this year, we find ourselves facing a shortage of volunteers within our PTA community. The PTA plays a pivotal role in organizing various activities and events that enhance our children's educational experience and foster a strong sense of community within the school. However, without sufficient volunteers, we will have to pare back on some of these activities unless we can rally together and find more helping hands.
We understand that everyone has busy schedules, but even a small contribution of your time and effort can make a tremendous difference. Whether you can assist with event planning, fundraising, communication, or any other area, your involvement will be deeply appreciated. Please consider joining our PTA and making a positive impact on our school community. Together, we can continue providing enriching experiences for our students and maintaining a supportive environment for all. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to leadership@springvalleypta.org.
Other ways you can support our school include:
Becoming a member of the SVPTA. No experience necessary. No required activities. Your membership gives you voting rights that help direct your dollars and our school programs. Join the PTA
Donating. We have carefully budgeted this year to support the success of our students. We ask each family to consider making a $350 sponsorship donation. However, every dollar counts--donate if you can, what you can, and take advantage of corporate match opportunities! PTA membership is included with your donation. Donate here
Supporting MEF. PTA and MEF work together to fill unique roles and cover different, yet complementary and necessary expenses for our schools. We ask that you support both organizations. See here for more detail.
Sharing your ideas. Attend SVPTA’s Assembly Meetings and join the conversation. Share your ideas and experiences for learning and events! Meetings are typically held on the second Thursday of September, November, January, March, and May. Calendars
Volunteering. Whether you can help on a larger project, for an hour a week, or for 30 minutes for a specific event, you are definitely needed and appreciated. Look out for our emails and check here to find out more and let us get to know you!
Follow us on social media. We aim to strengthen communication, transparency, and engagement among our community of parents, teachers, and students by using our social media accounts to provide a wider outreach on the latest news and events. Please follow us on our social media accounts (Facebook: Spring Valley PTA, Instagram: springvalley_pta), and together let’s make this a stronger community!
All of our Executive Board Members and Committee Chairs are available to answer any questions about SVPTA and provide you with resources for this year. Welcome to the 2024-25 school year and thank you for your consideration and support!
Yours truly,
SVPTA Leadership Team
