Brief description of the committee chair positions 

Volunteer Coordinator – Recruit volunteers for school events and ongoing volunteer opportunities that require volunteer clearance.  Recruit a chairperson for each event.  Provide event chairs with lists of interested volunteers.

Social Media / Communications - Publish monthly SVPTA newsletter.  Communicate any PTA announcements by email to PTA members.  Maintain social media channels for the SVPTA.

Hospitality - Set up and clean up for monthly Principal's Coffee. Provide coffee and pastries/snacks for the Principal's coffee.  Organize the annual muffin morning.

Room Parent Coordinator / Family Engagement - Coordinate activities for all room parents / provide opportunities to increase school engagement for new and existing families

Arts & Enrichment - Spring Valley PTA believes that it is important for every kid’s success to have increased and equitable access to a complete curriculum that includes high-quality arts education. To support this belief, the Arts and Enrichment Chair builds, supports, and sustains ongoing Arts instruction for all students. Also builds awareness of the importance of encouraging children to participate in the arts.

MEF Liason - Attend meetings and serve as the connection between MEF and Spring Valley.

Garden - Coordinate volunteers and maintain the Spring Valley Garden.

Webmaster - Update events and information on the SVPTA website.

Membership - The membership chair is responsible for creating and implementing a membership plan, promoting membership throughout the year, providing membership reports at PTA board and association meetings, and collecting dues.
