Fundraising

Our goal is to raise $65,000 in donations, sponsorships, and corporate matching for the 2024-2025 school year. If we don’t meet that goal during our annual membership and pledge drive, then we fundraise in other ways throughout the year.

We know that many families in our community have experienced hardships during these unprecedented times. We suggest a Sponsorship Donation of $350, which includes a PTA membership and yearbook. However, donations of any amount are always appreciated.

WHAT SPECIFIC THINGS ARE PTA FUNDS USED FOR?

Your donation dollars work to provide a well-rounded, quality education for your child. Here are some of the supplies, activities, community events, and services that are funded solely by the PTA.

• Classroom supplies

  • The PTA provides funds to supplement parents' Supply Donations, which are used to provide students with all the school supplies and learning materials for the year. 

• Field trips

  • Sanchez Adobe Historic Site, Elkus Ranch, San Mateo County Museum, California Academy of Sciences

• Student Enrichment Programs

  • Art in Action, LEAP program, Dance lessons, PE equipment

• School Assemblies and Guest Speakers

• Spring Valley Events

  • New Family Welcome, Fall Family Event, Halloween Pumpkin Contest, Food Relief Drive, Scholastic Book Fair, Winter/Holiday Event, Heritage Days, Muffin Morning, Principal's Coffee, PTA General Assembly Meetings

  • Previous Years: Field Day, Family Baseball, Bingo Night, Movie Night, Heritage Days Dinner, School Dance/Neon Nights, Spring Variety Show, Science Fair

• Classroom technology upgrades & distance learning needs

  • Smart TVs, Chromebooks, iPads, Document cameras, Ring lights, Stands, Printers, Web cameras, Dual monitors

• School site upgrades

  • Electronic marquee, Fire retardant curtains and electric projector screen for the Multi-Purpose Room (MUR), Air purifiers in every classroom

• Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, Teacher Holiday Luncheon
