Fundraising is an important function of the PTA because it’s how we raise money to provide our students and community with the classroom support and programs that our kids, teachers and school community have come to count on each year.
This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 in direct donations--greatly reduced from last year’s goal--to meet more immediate needs and supplement learning in the virtual/hybrid environment. If we don’t meet that goal, then we fundraise in other ways throughout the year.
We know that many families in our community have experienced hardships during these unprecedented times. We suggest a Sponsorship Donation of $300, which includes a PTA membership and yearbook. However, donations of any amount are always appreciated.
We hope you will join us in our mission to enrich our students’ and families’ school experience. Thank you for helping make Spring Valley one of the best schools in California!
WHAT SPECIFIC THINGS ARE PTA FUNDS USED FOR?
Your donation dollars work to provide a well-rounded, quality education for your child. Here are some of the supplies, activities, community events, and services that are funded solely by the PTA.
The PTA provides additional funds to supplement Supply Donations from parents, which are used to provide students with all the school supplies and learning materials needed for distance, hybrid, and in-seat learning.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS YEAR?
While we know some families cannot make contributions at this time, we need to start strong with our direct donations so that we can manage unexpected changes or expenses to support our school and teacher’s needs during this difficult time.
Please be patient with our organization while we try to navigate new ways to build community, support our families while still taking care of our own.
