Welcome to Spring Valley PTA

The mission of the Spring Valley PTA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members, to provide funds to support 21st century teaching, and to create community and encourage involvement through PTA sponsored social activities.

Go Stallions!

Dear Spring Valley Community,

We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy during this very uncertain time. Our hearts are with everyone who has been globally affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and we are incredibly grateful to all who are working hard on the front lines to keep our communities safe.

A million thanks to our Superintendent Vahn Phayprasert, district administrators, Principal Kathy D'or Reid, and all Spring Valley teachers and staff who have worked tirelessly to implement our first week of distant learning, and to our nutritional services for providing meals to all Millbrae students. For everyone who is "homeschooling," it will continue to be challenging in the coming months but each day and week will hopefully get a bit easier and a bit better. We've included a link here to a site for supplemental online educational resources that was collated together by an organization called Milwaukee With Kids. Many are free (some are paid) and you also have the ability to suggest additional resources if you have used them. You may have used some of them already; check them out to see what might work for your family. Please first follow your teacher's plans and assignments for your child - this resource is only for supplemental activities when daily assignments are complete.

Although we will not be able to support and provide the fun enrichment activities, events and programs we had hoped to for Spring Valley - for at least the months of March and April, perhaps the rest of the school year - we still need our SV village now more than ever. Regardless of our isolation, we encourage you to check up on and communicate with each other - online or on the phone. Please be responsible citizens and continue to heed the important guidelines shared by our city, county, and state officials to support our medical and healthcare workers. Exercise kindness, compassion, patience and empathy.

We are working with our sister Millbrae PTA/Os and the MEF to find ways to support our community. If you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to connect at: info@springvalleypta.org.

These times are stressful and anxious for everybody - but we will get through this together.

In gratitude,

Your Spring Valley PTA Board
